About Me
With over a decade of experience, Steve has distinguished himself as an expert in health and human performance. His ever-evolving training philosophy is based not only on real-world experience but, more importantly, on cutting-edge scientific research. He has counseled hundreds of individuals, athlete and non-athlete alike, from a variety of backgrounds with skill levels ranging from weekend warrior to world champion.
A graduate of Central Catholic High School, Steve earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University where he also served as a graduate assistant in the Human Performance Laboratory. In addition, he holds numerous advanced certifications and continues his ongoing research in the areas of:
- injury prevention/rehabilitation
- exercise physiology
- strength training
- biomechanics
- biochemistry
- nutrition
An avid athlete, Steve has competed in football, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, track, adventure racing, mountain biking, triathlon, and golf. In addition, Steve is an author, speaker, and the founder of mxconditioning.com, a website dedicated to the training and nutritional needs of the motocross athlete.
